Use 3% to 5% in your skin care formulas.
Useful in your handmade lotions and creams as well as any other skin care
product that has water as part of the ingredient list. Just reduce
the water by the amount of extract you are using in your formula. Can add
to cold process soaps as well.
Calendula - A hydroalcoholic extract of the flowers of
Calendula officinalis in a glycerin solution. Benefits include cell repair,
antiseptic, bruises, burns, sores and skin ulcers. Skin-soothing effect.

Witch Hazel - A hudroalcoholic extract
of Hamamelis virginiana in glycerin solution. Well known astringent,
disinfectant wash. Makes a good cleanser for "troubled" skin. Use in a 20%
solution with aloe vera gel or juice for this purpose. This is not the drug
store witch hazel.
